For families and loved ones
You can reach out even if the person you love is not ready to talk yet.
Parents, partners, and friends contact us often. A consultation can be a place to ask what to say, what not to say, and what support can look like at home.
We will not share a loved one's private health information with you without their permission. We can still help you understand options and how to invite them in gently.
If someone is in immediate danger, use the resources on our crisis support page — starting with 988 — rather than waiting for a consultation.
You do not need a diagnosis or a referral to start the conversation.
